- Download the UMB VPN software for MAC. Please note, Mac Version OS X is required to use the VPN.
- Double-click the UMvpn_Client.dmg file after download
- Double-click to mount the Cicso VPN Client.mpkg.
- Install the Cisco VPN Client.mpkg file and follow instructions.
- After installation go to Macintosh HD/Applications/VPN Client .
- After the software opens, if you are in the library , choose hshsl-vpn
- If you are off campus choose University of Maryland, from the list
- To connect, Click the connect button.
- Enter your myUMBID and password when prompted.
- The connection process may take several moments. After it connects there will be a yellow padlock icon next to the hshsl-vpn name in the list in the VPN software window.
- Exit the VPN software to disconnect or choose disconnect from the menu in the client window.
Note: Once the VPN is installed, do not change or personalize the profile. The VPN will only work with the established profile information.
