Anna Tatro graduated in May 2005 from Emporia State University in Kansas with her Master's in Library Science. While in graduate school Anna worked at the Kansas City Public Library as a circulation technician and later accepted a position as the librarian at the Newman Division of Nursing Library at Emporia State University. Anna has been the Liaison to the School of Social Work since the beginning of 2006. She is dedicated to providing services to the faculty, staff and students by teaching courses, providing consultations, offering open lab hours, and purchasing materials for the library collection.
During instructional sessions Anna helps students become familiar with the library web site and the databases relevant to social work. She offers consultations by appointment to provide more in-depth instruction and help with specific research. Anna has also been actively involved in promoting Maryland Health ->Go Local and MedlinePlus through outreach activities with the School of Social Work's Community Outreach Service (SWCOS).
Anna is enthusiastic about being involved with the School of Social Work and would like to meet as many people as possible to assist them with their library and information needs.
