    Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects (CRISP) is a biomedical database system containing information on research projects and programs supported by the Department of Health and Human Services.

  • FEDIX
    Federal opportunities for the education and research communities. Information may be accessed using the following points of entry: agency, subject or audience. Provided by the Federal Information Exchange (FEDIX). It includes links to alert services.

  • Foundation Center
    Searchable database to philanthropy on the web.

  • Foundations.org
    A directory of charitable grantmakers, with links to their homepages.

  • Funding News
    Weekly sampling of new and updated award information. Available from campus computers, only.


  • Grantmaker Information
    Provides links to private foundations, corporate grantmakers, grantmaking public charities, and community foundations. Also provides links to informational materials produced by individual foundations.  Provided by the Foundation Center.

  • Grants - OER Home Page
    The National Institutes of Health, Office of Extramural Research (OER) serves as the focal point for policies and guidelines for extramural research grants administration. This site leads to information on funding opportunities, grants policy, applications and forms, awarded grants and electronic research administration.

  • Grants.gov
    Electronic storefront for federally-administered grant programs arranged by topics.


  • GrantsNet
    Provides a database of biomedical funding options from non-profit organizations and federal agencies. The database has been created by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

  • HSRPROJ (Health Services Research Projects in Progress)
    Contains about 3,000 current project records for research in progress funded by federal and private grants and contracts. Updated quarterly.

  • Maryland Grant Resource Center
    A service of the Maryland Office of Planning which provides access to the Catalog of State Assistance Programs (Red Book), the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance and the State Treasurer's Records of Private Foundations.

  • National Science Foundation
    The NSF funds research in education in science and engineering through grants, contracts and cooperative agreements.

  • NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts Database
    Allows searching of the NIH Guides (distributed weekly via e-mail) by keywords or phrases.


  • Philanthropy News Network Online
    Non-profit online newsletter on corporate and foundation giving.

  • Society of Research Administrators Grants Web
    The SRA provides extensive links to funding sources.

  • TRAM Research Funding Opportunities and Administrations
    Initially developed by the Texas Research Administrators Group, TRAM contains a search engine for locating funding opportunities from many different agencies. It is updated daily. Also contains a set of grant application forms from various sources.
