Handouts: CINAHL Help Sheet I Instructions for use - MEDLINE
The MEDLINE database from the National Library of Medicine includescitations with abstracts from approximately 3,900 biomedical, dentaland nursing journals. MEDLINE encompasses information from IndexMedicus, Index to Dental Literature, International Nursing Index andselected journals. Links to over 80 full-text journals (Journals @ OvidFull Text) are provided. The database is divided into various yearsegments.

The database contains citations and abstracts to journal articles, dissertations, book chapters, technical reports and other documents. Covers literature in psychology and the behavioral sciences as well as psychological aspects of related disciplines. Updated monthly. 1887 to the present.

The EBMR Multifile includes: ACP Journal club (ACP), Cochrane Controlled Trials Register (CCTR), Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (COCH), and Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness (DARE).

- MICROMEDEX
A collection of twelve databases which support clinical decision-making and high-quality patient care by providing comprehensive drug, acute care, and toxicology information. Updated quarterly. Micromedex® is available free to current faculty, staff and students at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and to staff at the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS). Through special agreements, School of Pharmacy preceptors may also access the system.

This resource is available only to faculty, staff and students of the University of Maryland, Baltimore and to staff of the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC).

- Academic Search Premier
EBSCOhost's Academic Search Premier is a multidisciplinary, full text database designed specifically for academic Institutions. Through the database, the HS/HSL has provided links to over 600 full text journals in many areas of study - including the social sciences, chemistry, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and more. - ClinicalTrials.gov
This consumer-friendly database, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, provides patients and members of the public easy access to information about the location of clinical trials, their design and purpose, criteria for participation and additional disease and treatment information.
Handouts: Instructions for use - Current Index to Statistics - Extended Database (CIS-ED)
A bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields from 1974 to the present (currently defined as publications through the end of 1998 plus some early 1999 publications). Included are 106 "core journals", as well as selected articles from about 900 additional journals, and about 8,000 books in statistics. Each year, it is updated with an additional year of coverage. CIS is a joint venture of the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
