Removing the HS/HSL Proxy Setting

Beginning June 19th, you will be required to enter the 14 digit barcode, located on your UMB1 One Card ID, and your last name to access Library resources including e-journals, e-books and databases from offsite. UMnet accounts will no longer be used to access Library resources. With this new access method, no special proxy configuration is needed in your browser.

We encourage all users who have the HS/HSL proxy setting configured in their browser to remove the setting using the appropriate instructions below. Removing our proxy setting will eliminate an unneeded file download every time you open your browser. It will also allow you to enter a proxy setting for another institution's resources.

Everyone must remove the proxy setting from their browsers by August 1, 2006. If you do not remove the setting by that date, your browser will redirect you to these instructions until the setting is removed.
