Location: 36 Light Street
Phone: (410) 752-4189

Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night dining. Hours: 7 am-2 am (7 days) Cuisine: International. Burke's was established in 1934 and is still a great place to eat. We usually eat lunch there. A friend always orders the Monte Cristo. They have a huge and varied menu. You must try an order of their "Famous Onion Rings" which are a house specialty. One order is big enough to share with a friend. I have also had dinner there and have found the food good. Menu is on their website with pricing information.

Hours: Breakfast: M-F 7am-11:30am; Brunch: Sa-Su 9am-3pm; Lunch: M-F 11:30am-4pm; Dinner: M-Th 4pm-9pm, F-Sa 4pm-10pm, Su 4pm-8pm No reservations (do sometimes have to wait for a booth or table if there during a meal "rush-hour"). Home-style food in Hampden. Very casual and friendly atmosphere. The true diner experience and a Baltimore "must-do!" Café Hon is located in historic Hampden, and the décor and its servers have barely changed their style since the '50's! The food is "diner-fare" (eggs, French toast, sandwiches, etc.) and "home-cooking comfort food" (meatloaf, spaghetti, lasagna) - great for a reasonably-priced meal complete with plenty of atmosphere. The paper placemats with "Bal'morese" vocabulary words and their respective translations are an added bonus! Note: 36th St. in Hampden has some good arts and specialty shops as well.
