A Library Liaison:

provides class-related instruction and orientation sessions to the departments and programs within UMB
shares current information regarding library programs, resources and services with departments
supports teaching, clinical and research needs
assists with collection development for individual schools
evaluates web pages and compiles web resources

Faculty are invited to contact liaisons about arranging class instruction, or to discuss library collections, services, and resources. For more information, contact the appropriate liaison listed to the right.

Mary Ann received her M.S.L.S from Catholic University .As liaison to the Dental School, she supports the school's research and education goals by providing library research consultations and classes designed to teach and improve library research skills. She is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association and the Maryland Association of Health Sciences Librarians.

Jaime received her M.L.I.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. As liaison to the School of Medicine, she supports the school's research and education goals by providing library research consultations and classes designed to teach and improve library research skills. She is a member of the Medical Library Association and the Academy of Health Information Professionals.

Debra received her Masters of Library Science from Long Island University and serves as the Liaison to the School of Public Health. Debra was a Reference Librarian for over 20 years at Towson University where she was the liaison to the nursing, biology, and psychology departments. She joined the staff at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library after working as the Head of Information Services at the Hirsh Health Sciences Library at Tufts University in Boston. Debra is a member of the Medical Library Association.

Kristen received her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. During her graduate work, she served as an intern at the Falk Medical Library at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Ting received her Master of Library Science (MLS) degree in 2008 from the Department of Library and Information Studies, the State University of New York, Buffalo. During graduate school, Ting was a Graduate Assistant working in the Health Sciences Library at the University at Buffalo. As liaison to the School of Pharmacy, she supports the school's research and education goals by providing library research consultations and classes designed to teach and improve library research skills.
