- Highest priority for use of these
rooms is given to HS/HSL programs and HS/HSL supported or sponsored programs.
This includes programming for Region 2, NNLM programs.
- Units on campus and outside organizations
may use the classrooms (see Fees). The Classroom
Reservation Request Form must be submitted to and approved by the Assistant
Director for Information and Instructional Services, HS/HSL.
- Fees may be waived if HS/HSL staff
benefit from attending the class. Registration fees are waived for staff attending.
- Long-term continuous use is discouraged,
(e.g. every Monday for a year or every day for a week) except when approved
through written request to and approval by the Assistant Director for Information
and Instructional Services, HS/HSL.
- Arrangements for use should be made
at least one month in advance of the date needed.
- Any software to be loaded must be
loaded by HS/HSL computer support staff. This software must be delivered to
the support staff as soon as the lab is booked to determine its compatibility
with teaching lab equipment and to ensure proper working order. It is required
that the software be made available to the HS/HSL computer support staff at
least 3 weeks in advance of the class. Upon receipt of approval to use the
classroom, users will be given the name of their computer support staff liaison.
- The HS/HSL reserves the right to refuse
to load any software if, in the judgment of library staff, loading such software
would jeopardize the existing software owned by the library. Copying software
is a violation of the copyright law and strictly prohibited. Any individual
found to be pirating software will be denied use of HS/HSL computing facilities.
- The class instructor should review
the installation prior to the day of the class. Call the assigned computer
support staff liaison to schedule a time to visit the classroom.
- The class instructor should report
no later than one hour before the class to review lab operations and to set
up for the class.
- Absolutely no food or beverages are
permitted.
- The classrooms are only available
during hours that the library is regularly open. Monday through Friday from
8:00 am - 5:00 pm is preferred. Exceptions may be made depending on support
staff availability.
- Sponsors and/or contact persons must
be present at the start of the class to aid the instructor if they are from
an outside organization.
