University Farmers' Market Opens Tuesday, May 5, 2009

The new University Farmers' Market is a convenient place to shop for healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables. The market will be held each Tuesday from May until October in the park across from the main entrance of the University of Maryland Medical Center. Market hours are 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition to fresh produce, eggs, poultry, seafood, meat, baked goods, and ice cream will also be available.
The market is sponsored by UMMC Recycles, Downtown Market Center (On the Westside), and UMB Go Green.
