Women's History Month with Dr. Pam Peeke: Seven Secrets of Staying Alert & Vertical for a Lifetime
In honor of Women’s History Month, Pamela Peeke, MD, MPH, FACP, clinical assistant professor, Department of Family & Community Medicine, and well-known expert on nutrition, metabolism, stress, and fitness, will deliver the lecture Seven Secrets of Staying Alert and Vertical for a Lifetime. This event will be held in the Medical School Teaching Facility (MSTF) Auditorium on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Admission is free, but tickets are required. HBO Addiction Documentary Preview
HBO, in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the National Institute on Drug Addiction (NIDA), and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), has produced an unprecedented multi-media campaign aimed at helping Americans understand addiction as a treatable brain disease, as well as spotlighting new medical advancements.
The first documentary of the 14-part series airs March 15th on HBO, but you can attend a FREE preview at the MSTF Auditorium on March 13th, 2007 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Please RSVP to cwelsh@psych.umaryland.edu
