- Turn off Windows Firewall by going to the Control Panel, Network and Internet Options, Windows Firewall.
- For Windows XP users, check System Properties to make sure Service Pack 2 is installed. If not, running a Windows Update will install it. Go to Tools from your browser menu and select Window Update.
- For Windows XP users, uninstall the QoS Packet Scheduler. Go to Control Panel, Network and Internet Options, Network Connections, Local Area Network, Properties. Select QoS Packet Scheduler and click Unistall.
