HS/HSL Digital Sign Submission Guidelines

The HS/HSL digital sign is a tool used to communicate news, events and information relevant to the University of Maryland, Baltimore community. The Health Sciences and Humans Services Library encourages faculty, staff, and students to use the sign to communicate to a wide audience.

Digital Display Submissions must be in a JPEG or PNG format with an aspect ratio of 1280 x 768 pixels. Ads must have University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB) branding of some type. Examples of acceptable branding are a University or School seal or an organizational logo that incorporates the University of Maryland Baltimore.

  1. Download an HS/HSL template (template1, template2, template3) or use your own design with UMB branding.
  2. Create a sign (full size ad) with PowerPoint, PhotoShop or other program with the following specifications:

    • Graphics Program: 1280 x 768 pixels
    • Power Point 2007: 13.33 inches wide x 8 inches high.
  3. Save ad in JPEG or PNG format. PDF files will not be accepted.
  4. Email the saved ad to digitaldisplay@hshsl.umaryland.edu

NOTE: When emailing ads please include the following information:

  • Preferred start date for your ad to run.
  • Days of the week you prefer the ad to run.
  • Time of day you prefer the ad to run.
  • End date for your ad to run.

Ads are limited to a two week run. All submissions are subject to editorial review. Every effort will be made to post submissions within 24 hours. You will be notified if there is a problem with your submission.
