The HS/HSL digital sign is a tool used to communicate news, events and information relevant to the University of Maryland, Baltimore community.
The Health Sciences and Humans Services Library encourages faculty, staff, and students to use the sign to communicate to a wide audience. Announcements can be submitted by three mechanisms:
- Email announcement text to digitaldisplay@hshsl.umaryland.edu.
- Download an HS/HSL template (template1, template2, template3), add your text, save the file and email the file to digitaldisplay@hshsl.umaryland.edu.
- Create a sign (full size ad) using PowerPoint, PhotoShop or other program with the following specifications:
- Graphics Program: 1280 X 768 pixels
- Power Point 2007
- Click on the Design tab and then click on Page Setup.
- Use the following for the width and height of the page:
Width: 13.33 inches
Height: 8 inches - When finished, save the slide as a .PNG image.
- Click on the Office Button in the top left corner and hover over “Save As”
- Click on “Other Formats”
- Change the “Save as Type” drop down to PNG
- Name file and click the Save button.
- Email the saved ad to digitaldisplay@hshsl.umaryland.edu.
NOTE: When emailing ads please include the following information:
- Dates you prefer the ad to run.
- Days of the week you prefer the ad to run.
- Time of day you prefer the ad to run.
