Databases

• NLM Gateway - Allows users to search in multiple retrieval systems at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). The current Gateway searches MEDLINE/PubMed, OLDMEDLINE, LOCATORplus (NLM's online catalog), MEDLINEplus (consumer health), ClinicalTrials.gov, DIRLINE, Meeting Abstracts, and HSRProj.

• PubMed - Provides access to a combined file of MEDLINE and PREMEDLINE, as well as linking citations to full-text. The full-text option is currently available for a limited number of journals. If there are any charges for an article, it is the user's responsibility to pay. PubMed also provides access to several genome databases.

The selection criteria used to choose the sites may also be of use to you when evaluating any web site.
