Cell Phone & Electronic Device Use in the Health Sciences and Human Services Library
The Health Sciences and Human Services Library is committed to providing a comfortable study environment, in which noise is kept to a minimum. Noise from cell phone use is disruptive to the study environment within the library. Therefore, the use of cell phones within the Health Sciences and Human Services Library is prohibited in any open area of the library. Anyone entering the building with a cell phone should turn down their cell phone ringer or turn their phone to vibrate to reduce noise disruptions. Patrons are asked to leave open areas of the library to answer or talk on a cell phone.

In addition, the use of pagers or other electronic devices that ring or generate other audible noise is prohibited.

This policy was created in response to suggestions from patrons about noise produced by cell phone users within the library.

This policy applies to all patrons of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library.

Thank you for your cooperation.
