  • Improving Cardiovascular Health in African Americans: Package of Seven Easy-To-Read Booklets
    Available online and in print, these booklets from the National Heart and Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health specific information on improving heart health. They identify steps African Americans can follow to promote healthy lifestyles.

    Sponsored by the National Library of Medicine, the site provides a portal to health issues affecting Asian Americans. The site provides information on major Asian populations, health and diseases that affect them, and behavioral issues. Complementary medicine resources, Pacific Rim web links, and health organization links are also included. Other NIH links, government and other web sites are also available.
  • Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum Resources
    Resource page from the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, a national health advocacy organization. Resources include fact sheets, bibliographies, newsletters, and links to other resources.

  • SPIRAL (Selected Patient Information Resources in Asian Languages)
    Developed by Tufts University’s Health Sciences Library and funded by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, this web site provides detailed health information in seven Asian languages, specifically Chinese, Hmong, Khmer, Korean, Laotian, Thai and Vietnamese. It is a unique multi-language health information site because it is for both physicians and patients.

  • Recursos de Salud en español en el Internet
    A web site provided by the Health Sciences and Human Services Library in order to assist spanish speaking consumers identify reliable health information resources. Sections include general resources, alcohol/drugs/tobacco, allergies/asthma/lung, cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, women's health, and children's health.
