Bio
Debra serves as the Liaison to Public Health and Medicine. Debra was a Reference Librarian for over 20 years at Towson University where she was the liaison to the nursing, biology, and psychology departments. She joined the staff at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library after working as the Head of Information Services at the Hirsh Health Sciences Library at Tufts University in Boston.

Professional Activities
Debra is an active member of the Medical Library Association (MLA), the Public Health and Health Administration Section of the MLA, and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) of the MLA.
She currently serves on the jury for the Louise Darling Medal (MLA) and is a member of the Awards Committee of the MAC.
Her special area of interest is the resources and search techniques that work best to find evidence-based information for clinicians and researchers. She recently attended a continuing education course entitled, "Evidence-Based Public Health: Finding and Appraising Relevant Resources"
