J. Dale Prince, AHIP, is the technology coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Southeastern Atlantic Region located at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library of the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Prince provides Internet and technology instruction to medical librarians and health professionals in the region, as well as training and outreach for a variety of National Library of Medicine programs and services. In 2005, Prince developed the hugely popular course, Geeks Bearing Gifts Course: unwrapping new technologies. He has been blogging for about five years. Prince received his master of library science from Indiana University, is a member of Beta Phi Mu, and is a member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals.

RSS and Blogs are two of the founding parents of Web 2.0. Without blogs, it's unlikely that anyone would know that Web 2.0 even existed. This presentation is an overview of blogging technology and the uses of RSS feeds to disseminate and subscribe to information.
