Teresa L. Knott, AHIP, is the deputy director of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Knott has extensive experience in teaching in the areas of biomedical information management and customer service. She is particularly interested in applying new technologies in educational environments. Since 1998, Knott has explored social networking tools from Internet relay chat (IRC) to Second Life to online services such as LinkedIn and Facebook. Knott received her master of library science from the University of Oklahoma and her master of public administration from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals. |
